한국 현대미술의 원류를 소개하는 본 특별전은 원로 미술가들의 집약된 예술혼을 작품을 통해 발견하고, 이를 통한 한국미술의 정통성과 현대성, 나아가 한국현대미술의 큰 흐름을 확인할 수 있게 합니다.
본 전시에서는 회화의 기본 요소 간의 관계를 통하여, 자연을 순수 기하학적 아름다움으로 표현하고자 하였던 유영국 화백의 표현이 두드러지는 후기 작품 <작품 1>이 소개됩니다. 전시는 9월 8일까지.
Yoo Youngkuk, a pioneer of Korean abstract art, presents his work in Archetypes: a special exhibition by the National Academy of Arts.

In the exhibition, painting Work I by Yoo Youngkuk, who wanted to express the nature as a pure geometrical abstract beauty, is displayed showing this tendency of his later work. Archetypes: a special exhibition by the National Academy of Arts, Republic of Korea runs until September 8th.
